All checked and tested, we ask the client to take one final look before we go live. Crucial textual little errors in things like contact information, difficult name spelling and so on can still escape detection, so we all pool together to see what we can find. On client’s decision, we go live and the picture says “The End”. Far from it on our side of things though! We don’t just grab the cheque and run for the door. Our job is not finished. We will spend the next couple of weeks in close contact with the client, watching the site, monitoring performance and speed and making sure that everything is working properly. Many of our projects include search engine optimisation and so we need to monitor that too. When we have a set of ticks in all the boxes, we blend into the background but stay available to deal with any support issues. We support our work for at least 12 months and often well beyond. Maybe that is why most of our new projects come from recommendations?
