Reduce White Space in Elementor

Reducing white space on a page created with Elementor, a popular WordPress page builder, can enhance your site’s visual appeal and user experience. Here are some methods to achieve that:

1. Adjusting Section & Column Gaps

  • Edit Section: Click on the section you want to adjust. In the left-hand panel, go to the Layout tab. Here, you can change the Content Width and Columns Gap to reduce space inside the section.
  • Edit Column: Click on a column to edit. In the Layout tab, adjust the Column Gap setting to reduce space between widgets within a column.

2. Managing Margin and Padding

  • Widgets: Select any widget and go to the Advanced tab. Here, you can adjust the Margin and Padding settings. A negative margin value can pull sections or elements closer together.
  • Sections and Columns: Similarly, for sections and columns, you can adjust margins and paddings in the Advanced tab to reduce or increase space around them.

3. Utilizing Inner Sections

  • To create complex layouts with less white space, use Inner Sections within main sections. These allow for tighter control over column and content positioning.

4. Custom CSS

  • For advanced customization, Elementor Pro users can add custom CSS. Navigate to the element you wish to customize, go to the Advanced tab, and enter your CSS code. For instance, to reduce space, you could use margin: 0; or padding: 0; on specific elements.

5. Global Settings for Spacing

  • Elementor Pro offers global settings for spacing. Go to Elementor > Settings > Style Settings. Here, you can adjust the default spaces for widgets, sections, and columns which apply site-wide.

6. Responsive Design Considerations

  • Remember to check your page on different devices. Elementor allows you to adjust spacing for desktop, tablet, and mobile views separately, ensuring a good user experience across all devices.

7. Plugins for Additional Customization

  • There are third-party Elementor addons and plugins that offer additional widgets and tools for space adjustment. These might provide solutions if Elementor’s native controls aren’t sufficient.

Each method offers a way to control and reduce white space, making your pages look more compact and professional. Experiment with different settings to find the perfect balance for your design.
